Trap Effects

A trap might make a blast attack (see Blast Attacks), automatically deal one or more dice of damage, or require the victim to succeed on a test to avoid some affliction (such as the poisoned condition).

Attack Traps: A trap that can make attacks has a Fighting die, just like a creature. A typical attack trap targets every creature and unattended object in a given area (with a separate Fighting test for each target). On each of the Fighting tests, the trap has advantage, and vision is irrelevant (see Unseen Attackers and Targets and Vision and Light).

GM Tip: A typical attack trap has a Fair (D4) Fighting die, and the effect of a typical affliction trap can be resisted with a Hard (4+) test.
