Magic Item Design

In Dragonslayers RPG, there is no such thing as a "+1" weapon. Even a small numerical bonuses can have a massive impact. A magic item should more often expand a character's options rather than improve their dice rolls. When creating a magic item, you can look to feat and spell effects for inspiration.

A magic item should have a history and a purpose. Who made it? Where has it been? Does it have goals of its own? Answering questions like these go a long way toward making a magic item unique.
