The Gamemaster

This player (called GM for short) gets the most narrative power and the most responsibilities. Choose the GM long before playing.

If you are the GM, part of your job is to prepare an adventure for the heroes before the game starts. You set the stage, whether it is a single game session or a campaign lasting weeks, months, or years.

During the game, you describe the environments, play the nonheroes, and present challenges. If the heroes succeed, great! If they fail, it isn't over... every dragon left alive is a potential sequel.
