Hit Points (HP)

This vital stat represents your stamina, durability, mettle, and fancy footwork. In other words, it is how much violence you can handle.

Your hit points temporarily deplete as you take "damage" in combat, but at most it is really just scratches and close calls until your hit points run out (see Dropping to 0 Hit Points).

Some features ask you to spend hit points. To use such a feature, you must have enough hit points left to pay for it.

There is no defense score or "armor class." In Dragonslayers RPG, the definition of hit points includes your armor and parrying ability. You can think of hit points as "the points you spend to avoid getting hit."
